Welcome to Garage Builders Maine
One owner who did the physical work first, building garages, additions, and new homes across Central Maine, and still walking every job.

Garage Builders Maine is an owner-run contractor serving homeowners across Kennebec and Lincoln County, out of Augusta.
We build garages, ADUs, custom homes, decks, siding, and remodels, and we pour footings to Maine frost depth every time, whether it is inspected or not.
Maine does not license general contractors, so we are upfront that vetting should mean checking insurance, references, and real past work, not a license number.
Every project starts with the owner walking your site in person and giving you a straight answer on cost and timeline, including the parts that run slow.
About us
Garage Builders Maine is run by Seth Leichnitz
who worked his way up from laborer to project manager on custom homes and timber frames before starting the company.
- The owner walks every site. In person, before design. Not a sales rep who hands the job to a stranger once you sign.
- Built for a Maine winter. Footings poured to frost depth every time, whether it is inspected or not, so nothing shifts after the first hard freeze.
- Straight numbers and timelines. We explain what drives the price and name the slow parts up front, like permitting and material lead times.
- Someone who did the work. The owner framed and finished houses before estimating them, so the answers come from the job site, not a brochure.
